Seabreeze Bop City - Spring 2022
Seabreeze Bop City is a pilot project to develop a reusable model and platform to document Black land loss across the southeast United States. I collaborated with the University of Nebrasksa-Lincoln Johnny Carson Center of Emerging Media Arts, The School of Architecture in Arizona, and Landrich, a company that provides real estate planning, development, conservation and education for low-wealth land owners. I co-created a map "scrollytelling" website using Mapbox software. I gained coding experience in HTML and JavaScript and experimented with ArcGIS. I traveled to North Carolina to meet the Freeman family with the Johnny Carson Center of Emerging Media Arts in March 2022.
